CNUF 2020 Postponement

 Dear Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that the Board of Directors of Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival has decided to announce the postponement of our 55th Anniversary scheduled for July 31st, August 1st & 2nd 2020 due to the COVID – 19 pandemic. After much consideration, our Board of Directors have considered all measures and we believe that our Board, Entertainers and Festival Personnel cannot deliver the high quality performances and services that our audience would expect.

Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival is one of the longest and largest running festivals in North America. For the past 54 years we have been providing and showcasing talent from North America and across the world, from of one of the richest and brightest cultures around. We are a non-profit organization and this decision was not made lightly. We will continue to focus on moving forward to next year’s festival to plan the biggest Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival ever.

A sincere thank you to all our patrons, volunteers, performers, entertainers, staff, vendors and sponsors for your continuous support for the Festival. Without all your support, the festival would not be possible, and we would not be able to carry on the Ukrainian Culture. Although we are postponing the festival for 2020 we are looking forward to seeing each and everyone of you next year on July 30th, 31st, & Aug 1st 2021!

We will be reaching out to all our ticket holders in the coming weeks with options and details regarding your tickets that were purchased for 2020. Please be patient with us as we work through the process by following guidelines and reaching out to you in a timely manner. Vendor Policy

Vendor Policy in the Event of Cancellation or Postponement Effective May 12, 2020

In the event where Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival is cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances the following policy will be in effect on the day of cancellation or postponement of the event. All vendors will be notified of the event cancellation or postponement in written confirmation within fourteen (14) days of the release of cancelation or postponement.

Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival does not have a deadline for Vendor Applications for the year the event is taking place. Vendor spots are first come first serve each year. Once Vendor spots are filled, Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival no longer accepts applications. The following policy has been put in place for Vendors in the event Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival is cancelled or postponed.

Vendors will have the following options :

  •  Vendors can request a full refund for the fees paid to Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival. Vendors will forfeit their vendor spot. Vendors must submit written communication to Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival if they want a full refund. Should they wish to reapply again the following year, the Vendor will have to resubmit an application and full payment.
  • Vendors can request the paid fees, to be applied for the next occurring festival. The agreed upon Merchant or Food Vendor placement, confirmed by Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival office, will carry over to the next occurring festival.

All Vendors that request a refund will have the funds returned to them within ninety (90) days of the cancellation or postponement.

Vendors will have no more than thirty (30) days to respond back to Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival after the vendor has received written confirmation of the event cancellation or postponement. Vendors must respond in written confirmation as to which option was chosen.

Sponsorship Policy

Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival Cancelation and or Postponement of Event Policy for Sponsors / Delegates
Effective May 12, 2020

In the event where Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival is cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances the following policy will be in effect on the day of cancellation or postponement of the event. All sponsors / delegates will be notified of the event cancelation or postponement in written confirmation within fourteen (14) days of the release of cancellation or postponement.

Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival’s sponsorships deadline is the thirty-first of March on the year the event is taking place. (see attached sponsorship documents) Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival Board of Directors has put the following protocol in place in the event of the cancellation or postponement of Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival.

Any sponsorships of In Kind and or Monetary value received for the upcoming year of Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival will have the following options available to them:

  • Sponsors / Delegates of In Kind or of Monetary value have the option to roll over the funds, for the next occurring festival year or to the rescheduled date. Advertising on our website and social media will still stay in effect.
    • Sponsor / Delegates can request a partial or full refund for the sponsorship dollars paid to Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival. They will forfeit all advertisement opportunities for the year. If partial funds are left with Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival, they are eligible for a tax receipt. Sponsors/Delegates must submit written communication to Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival if they want a full refund.
    • If sponsorships of In Kind and or of Monetary value have not been deposited on the set date and time of cancellation or postponement of Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival, the sponsor / delegate will receive all funds in full and documentation back.

Sponsors / delegates will have no more than thirty (30) days to respond back to Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival after the sponsor / delegate has received written confirmation of the event cancellation or postponement. Sponsors / delegates must respond in written confirmation as to which option was chosen for their sponsorship of In Kind or of Monetary value.

Ticket Holder Policy

Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival Ticket Policy in the Event of Cancellation or Postponement

Effective as of May 12, 2020

 In the event where Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival is cancelled or postponed due to unforeseen circumstances (government action prohibiting or impeding) the following policy will be in effect on the day of cancellation or postponement of the event. Notification of cancellation or postponement will be posted on our website and social media sites and all ticket holders will be notified within fourteen (14) days of the release to the media.

Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival states the following for ticket holders. Ticket purchases include – Weekend passes, Day passes, and Upper and Lower Camping Passes.

  • Donate– If you have purchased your ticket for the year, we ask you to consider donating your ticket, as a tax-deductible contribution to Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival. Though the festival has been postponed, we are still in critical needs of financial support. Should you decide to donate your ticket to the festival, we will send you a Tax Receipt.
  • Rollover– Ticket holders may rollover their current tickets, to the next operating festival. You will receive a new ticket via email or mail, once the ticket sales for the next operating festival become active.
  • Refund– Ticket holders may apply for a full refund of their ticket order, only in the event of a postponement or cancellation of the event has occurred. The tickets available for refunds are: Early-Bird Passes, Weekend Passes, Day Passes, Upper and Lower Camping Passes. Partial refunds are not available. You must be the order purchaser to complete this option.

*All tickets that were won, through a contest or at an event, will ONLY be rolled over to the next operating festival. They will not qualify for a refund or a donation.

* ONLY the PURCHASER can make these arrangements and the whole order must comply to one method ONLY. You cannot rollover a portion of your ticket order or donate a portion of your ticket order.

All tickets purchased for Canada’s National Ukrainian Festival are emailed to the ticket holder(s).
